Hey-o, lovely reader! Thanks for visiting my blog. Let me tell you a little bit about myself!
I wear many hats, from self-employed photographer to army wife to expectant mother (due Oct 2nd!). My husband and I made the decision to be a single income family so I could be a keeper of the home. I love being a housewife! Unfortunately it’s not quite as easy as it looks. Personally, I deal with depression and ADHD predominately inattentive – aka ADD. Being a homemaker is exceptionally challenging to people with those disorders because of the lack of structure, built in reward system, supervision, or “clock out” times. Housekeeping (and motherhood) is one long, unstructured, unending, largely solitary trek!
Like any challenge, I know my difficulties can be overcome. I just have to find the right tools and learn how to use them! This blog is really a journey – a journey for me and a journey for my readers. Together we will discover a huge variety of management techniques and helpful hints that empower us to be successful. This isn’t about how to alphabetize your cookbooks. This is about how to get up and get moving each day, how to build in helpful structure to your day, how to ward off the mommy blues, how to take care of yourself so you can take care of others. This is for those of us with a very real and extremely frustrating struggle to become everything we want to be – everything we can be.
I can do this. You can too.
